Fair Trade principles
The Fair Trade principles (five principles) were developed by Fairtrade International and WFTO (2008) as a common understanding of the basic principles of fair trading. They are defined within the “Charter of Fair Trade Principles” and are approved by the Board of Fairtrade International and the General Assembly of WFTO.
